Hi! Zines by Jackie is created by me, Jackie Liu - I'm an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and programmer. This project is my response to seeing a need for more holistic, welcoming, and socially-centered entryways into learning about technology.
Through handheld, Risograph-printed zines paired with free, interactive, online activities and resources, I hope to use these playful mediums to deliver a version of tech education that goes beyond just learning how to code.
My hope is that Zines by Jackie can move towards filling crucial gaps between tech, art, design - and help a wider audience think critically about technology's relationships to ourselves and our communities.
